The Cage of WondersI live in a cage of wonders,  constricted by the past, enslaved  to the present, dogged with the future.   
My mind's ripe with inconsistencies,  my heart bound by insecurities,  my soul splintered to incongruity,  my body forged of inadequacy.      
I wander sanity's tether  so much like a tight-rope walker.   
The cable's thick, made of metal,  sharp enough to bleed my mind through  my feet,  
staining what's Sane with my  madness.   
The world orients itself in  a way that drives me wonky!  How did it find itself in this   The Cage of Wonders

Happy Birthday, My SisterHope you're doing well today  as I hear you've turned nineteen.  Perhaps you'll go have some fun?  Perhaps, your blue eyes are bright...  Yes, I hope they are, Sister.       I hope you're happy today.   
Beyond my meager expression  intertwining this poem's being  right with my heart, I'm missing you  tonight, like every night,  hoping you know I love you...       wishing I was a better sister.

Orion's PrayerPhantom kings sway, Her smile bright,  Her eyes the flash of swords  against the firestorm in the night:  the Battle Muse strikes this poet's chords.   
The echo of Her Death song brings  me to my knees.  As my ears ring,  my heart shutters with a delight  that startles my soul with a fright...   
The gryphon with the agate horde  holds the key to eternal life  like one etched in the starry forge:  Orion hears his Nymph of War cry.   
She's the beauty of the gods and dressed  in the corpses of men.  At best,  one vain fool dared to cut Her Orion's Prayer

I think I have a new "Thanksgiving" tradition. To watch Lord of the Rings in November. The last time I did was in 2006. And the effect was still as...odd. I cried... Not many movies can do that. But this one does it every time. Heh... -smiles softly-

Anywho, I have my flame to thank for this tradition starting up. :D
